About the position

The Associate Director (AD) for RINVOQ will be responsible for personal promotional initiatives to ensure the successful planning and execution of RINVOQ in the giant cell arteritis (GCA) indication. This role requires coordination across both internal and external stakeholders to enable an integrated and successful launch execution. The AD will engage in strategic elements that include a deep understanding of customer insights, engagement strategies, and closed-loop marketing tactics. Key responsibilities include leading a cross-functional team to develop the launch readiness plan and professional tactics aimed at driving brand performance through personal promotion channels. This includes developing the campaign, Integrated Sales Approach (ISA), playbook, and launch meeting plans. Additionally, the AD will partner with omnichannel teams and other Immunology franchise teams, both in the US and internationally, to ensure the successful implementation of tactics for RINVOQ GCA.

Responsibilities

  • Support the development of the go-to-market strategy and tactical planning for RINVOQ GCA, synthesizing market research insights and complex clinical data for innovative execution.
  • Execute key Professional tactics in partnership with the agency and Medical Regulatory Liaison (MRL) partners to support the RINVOQ GCA business.
  • Collaborate closely with the sales force and sales training team to develop comprehensive and effective tools for a strong launch.
  • Plan and execute an internal and external communication plan in partnership with Medical, Public Affairs, and other cross-functional partners to maximize the share-of-voice for RINVOQ GCA.
  • Ensure RINVOQ GCA stays within budget and partner with finance and other brand partners for oversight throughout the year.
  • Influence business leaders and collaborate cross-functionally to deliver business results.
  • Grow brand/product penetration, share, awareness, and other key launch metrics.
  • Identify problems and conceptualize solutions using creativity and innovation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing or related field.
  • Proven ability to complete work product on-time with excellence.
  • Proven ability to lead without direct authority and work cross-functionally within a highly matrixed environment.
  • Pharmaceutical marketing experience.
  • Excellent communication (oral, written, and presentation) and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven marketing experience with increased proficiency in all marketing skills.
  • Strong presentation experience and proficient PowerPoint skills.
  • Strong analytical skills with primary and secondary data.
  • Strong collaboration and team orientation, with experience accomplishing results through others and influencing others.

Nice-to-haves

  • 6+ years of relevant brand marketing experience.
  • Prior experience in Professional pharmaceutical marketing.
  • Previous cross franchise/cross channel marketing experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of marketing concepts within the strategic planning process preferred.
  • Pharmaceutical launch experience.
  • Strategic and tactical planning experience.
  • MBA or other advanced degree.
