About the position

The Associate Director, Marketing Technology at Cornerstone Research is a pivotal role designed for a marketing technology professional eager to leverage technology and digital initiatives to enhance the firm's market position. This position is hybrid, based in Washington, DC, and involves a comprehensive range of responsibilities including researching, sourcing, implementing, maintaining, and optimizing the firm's marketing and business development technology products. The Associate Director will conduct regular audits of technology systems, identify new efficiencies, and evaluate and introduce new technologies to maintain the firm's competitiveness in the market. This role requires a proactive approach to monitoring and reporting on program effectiveness, ensuring that all technological activities within the marketing and business development department are coordinated effectively. In this role, you will collaborate closely with senior leadership within the Marketing & Business Development Team to develop and manage innovative marketing technologies aimed at raising brand awareness and strategically promoting the firm. You will oversee the firm's website and all marketing technologies, manage the marketing technology team, and maintain the firm's social media platforms. Additionally, you will be responsible for overseeing the firm's marketing database technologies and conceptualizing future CRM initiatives, working with firm leadership to communicate these initiatives internally and develop related training programs as needed. Responsibilities

  • Research, source, implement, maintain, and optimize marketing and business development technology products.
  • Conduct regular audits of technology systems and identify new efficiencies.
  • Evaluate, introduce, and implement new technologies and processes to maintain firm competitiveness.
  • Monitor and report on program effectiveness.
  • Develop and manage innovative marketing technologies to raise brand awareness.
  • Manage and support the marketing technology team, including coaching and mentoring.
  • Oversee the firm's website and all marketing technologies in support of marketing strategies.
  • Maintain the firm's social media platforms and optimize their use.
  • Oversee the firm's marketing database technologies and conceptualize future CRM initiatives.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to ensure effective communication and coordination of technological activities.

Requirements

  • 12+ years of direct experience in a professional services or law firm.
  • Minimum of 10 years of professional marketing technology experience.
  • Strong business acumen and ability to learn the firm's financial and operational functions.
  • Knowledge of web UX, web development, database management, data analytics, SEO, CRM, email marketing, and social media technologies.
  • Experience managing staff and overseeing their professional development.
  • Proven ability to manage, coach, and mentor a diverse staff.
  • Experience in project management, strategic planning, and budgeting.
  • Strong negotiation and analytical skills.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills; detail-oriented.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Information Technology, or related field.
