About the position

The Medical Outcomes Value Liaison at Ferring is responsible for leading the medical interface with key access customers in a field-facing role. This position focuses on communicating scientific, clinical, health outcomes, and pharmacoeconomic research information to inform access and reimbursement decisions, while cultivating relationships with healthcare decision-makers and thought leaders.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and communicate scientific, clinical, health outcomes, and pharmacoeconomic research information to population health decision makers.
  • Engage proactively with external scientific experts and healthcare access decision makers to provide clinical and health outcome-based information.
  • Respond to unsolicited requests for medical information from Market Access personnel and engage in scientific exchange with payor audiences.
  • Communicate and disseminate scientific and health economics information to national and regional payor audiences, including PBMs and ACOs.
  • Deliver current disease state literature, tailored scientific and pharmacoeconomic data, and methodologies for generating health economics and real-world evidence.
  • Provide comprehensive, accurate, and scientifically rigorous product and disease state information to payor audiences both in person and virtually.
  • Cultivate relationships with payer opinion leaders and influencers to discuss therapeutic areas important to Ferring.
  • Maintain relationships with external experts to ensure up-to-date awareness in health economics and quality of life research.
  • Develop partnerships with internal colleagues and customer decision-makers to bring value to customers.
  • Collaborate with payers on HEOR studies to generate new data for Ferring products.
  • Execute medical national regional account strategies and action plans for Ferring's portfolio and pipeline.
  • Engage in cross-functional teamwork with medical and commercial colleagues to meet customer needs.
  • Gather input and share insights to inform Medical and Market Access decision making.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on payor engagement plans.
  • Attend scientific meetings and professional conferences for continuing education and scientific exchange.
  • Act as a cross-functional scientific communicator and collaborator to assess outcomes and quality improvement plans.
  • Participate in medical and payer advisory boards to generate ideas for expanded reimbursement of products.

Requirements

  • Doctoral level degree (PharmD, PhD, or MD) required.
  • Concentration in health economics, outcomes research, epidemiology, statistics, public health, or related discipline preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in HEOR, Medical Affairs, Managed Markets, or related fields preferred.
  • Prior experience in customer-facing roles preferred.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Excellent analytic skills.
  • Ability to travel up to 60%.
  • Strong attention to detail and proactive outlook.
