About the position

The Associate Director, Medical Outcomes Value Liaison will lead the medical interface with key access customers in the Southeast Region. This role focuses on providing scientific, clinical, health outcomes, and pharmacoeconomic research information to inform access and reimbursement decisions for Ferring's portfolio and pipeline products. The position requires proactive engagement with external scientific experts and healthcare access decision-makers, as well as collaboration with internal teams to ensure alignment and support for payer engagement plans.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and communicate scientific, clinical, health outcomes, and pharmacoeconomic research information to population health decision makers.
  • Engage proactively with external scientific experts and healthcare access decision makers to provide clinical and health outcome-based information.
  • Respond to unsolicited requests for medical information from Market Access personnel and engage in scientific exchange with payor audiences.
  • Communicate and disseminate scientific and health economics information to national and regional payor audiences.
  • Deliver current disease state literature, tailored scientific and pharmacoeconomic data, and methodologies for generating health economics and real-world evidence.
  • Provide comprehensive, accurate, and scientifically rigorous product and disease state information to payor audiences.
  • Cultivate relationships with payer opinion leaders and influencers to discuss therapeutic areas important to Ferring.
  • Maintain relationships with external experts to ensure up-to-date awareness in health economics and quality of life research.
  • Develop disease management education programs and tools for customers.
  • Collaborate with payers on HEOR studies to generate new data for Ferring products.
  • Execute medical national regional account strategies and action plans for Ferring's portfolio and pipeline.
  • Engage in cross-functional teamwork with medical and commercial colleagues to meet customer needs.
  • Gather input and share insights to inform Medical and Market Access decision making.
  • Attend scientific meetings and professional conferences for continuing education and scientific exchange.
  • Act as a cross-functional scientific communicator and collaborator to assess outcomes and quality improvement plans.
  • Participate in medical and payer advisory boards to generate ideas for expanded reimbursement of products.

Requirements

  • Doctoral level degree (PharmD, PhD, or MD) required.
  • Concentration in health economics, outcomes research, epidemiology, statistics, public health, public policy, or a related academic discipline preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in HEOR, Medical Affairs, Managed Markets, Health Plan, or Pharmacy Benefit preferred.
  • Prior experience in customer-facing roles preferred.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Excellent analytic skills.
  • Ability to travel up to 60%.
  • Strong attention to detail and proactive outlook.
