About the position

The Associate Director, Regional Marketing, is a senior in-market position within the US commercial organization that will focus on commercial KOL engagement to gain insights into regional opportunities and provide a bridge between regional markets and headquarters. This role will involve speaker development and refresher training for disease state (and product, when appropriate), and will support the execution of approved disease state education, promotional, and patient programs. The Associate Director will collaborate with other field-based professionals, including Regional Business Directors (RBDs), District Business Managers (DBMs), Market Access Account Executives, and Medical Science Liaisons (MSLs), as well as home office-based colleagues in Marketing, Sales, Market Access, and Medical Affairs. The position will report to the Director of Regional Marketing and be part of the US KarXT Marketing Team. The geographical scope includes states such as Iowa, Illinois, Kansas, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, South Dakota, and Wisconsin. In this role, the Associate Director will work with cross-functional teams to provide key customer insights and input on strategy, tactics, messaging, and program execution. They will support the execution of approved Advisory Boards and assist in identifying Healthcare Professional (HCP) consultants based on established profiles. The Associate Director will facilitate, participate in, and attend advisory boards as appropriate, engaging with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) in assigned targeted accounts. They will champion the brand, disease state, and commercial strategy through meaningful engagement, supporting conversations focused on key topics related to the disease state or product. The role also involves managing speaker programs, developing physician speakers to provide high-quality presentations, and ensuring compliant execution of these programs. The Associate Director will monitor speaker performance at live and virtual events, provide field-based training to speakers, and engage with assigned KOLs to solicit feedback. Collaboration with other field-based and home office teams is essential, providing input and support in developing account plans for Sales and offering training support when needed. The Associate Director must work with the highest degree of professionalism and in accordance with the company's Code of Ethics and Business Conduct.

Responsibilities

  • Working with cross-functional teams to provide key customer insights and input on strategy, tactics, messaging, and program execution
  • Supporting the execution of approved Advisory Boards
  • Assisting in identification of Healthcare Professional (HCP) consultants based on profile established by the approved Consultant Engagement Project Brief
  • Facilitating, participating in, and attending advisory boards, where appropriate
  • Engaging with KOLs (disease state or product, when appropriate) in assigned targeted accounts
  • Championing the brand, disease state, and commercial strategy through meaningful engagement
  • Supporting disease state or product conversations focused on key topics
  • Executing physician engagement activities in the field and at key congresses
  • Developing physician speakers to provide high-quality speaker programs on disease state and product, when appropriate
  • Providing refresher and follow-up training to speakers on approved speaker materials
  • Ensuring appropriate and compliant execution of speaker programs
  • Monitoring speaker performance at live and virtual programs
  • Providing field-based training to speakers on speaker programs when needed
  • Engaging with assigned KOLs and soliciting feedback, as necessary
  • Providing input and support in developing account plans for Sales
  • Providing field-based training support for Sales when needed
  • Working with the highest degree of professionalism and in accordance with the company's Code of Ethics and Business Conduct

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in product marketing, field sales, or medical affairs
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in Psychiatry
  • Marketing, Sales Management, and/or extensive launch experience strongly preferred
  • Experience with thought leader engagement, advisory boards, and speaker's bureau strongly preferred
  • Proven ability to manage a large geographical territory
  • Demonstrated ability to build productive stakeholder relationships and effectively meet their needs
  • Ability to inform strategies, develop tactics, and execute against strategic plans under short timelines
  • Strong business acumen and understanding of market dynamics, business drivers, corporate goals, and impact on strategy
  • Clinical knowledge and aptitude in complex/competitive disease states
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills and organizational abilities
  • Self-driven with strong organizational and planning skills
  • Ability to leverage appropriate interpersonal styles and techniques to gain acceptance of ideas or plans
  • Highly collaborative with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Willingness to try different and novel ways to deal with work challenges and opportunities
