About the position

The Associate Director of Admissions - Marketing & Communications at Salve Regina University plays a pivotal role within the Communications & Marketing team. This position is responsible for coordinating various communications and marketing activities while leveraging the Admissions CRM (Slate) for reporting and data analysis to support recruitment efforts aimed at achieving enrollment goals for both undergraduate and graduate students. The Associate Director will work closely with the Admissions team to enhance the recruitment and enrollment processes, ensuring that the university attracts a diverse and talented student body. In this role, the Associate Director supervises Admissions Counselors and/or Senior Admissions Counselors, guiding them in their efforts to engage prospective students. A key responsibility includes collaborating with the Admissions Communications Team to develop and implement automated communication plans, which involve creating and distributing electronic communications while tracking their effectiveness. The Associate Director will also assist in crafting marketing communications, including emails and text messages, ensuring that the content is engaging and visually appealing. The position requires a strong technical aptitude, as the Associate Director will work with the Director of Operations to ensure accurate data integration into the CRM, create reports for staff and senior managers, and troubleshoot any system issues that arise. Additionally, the Associate Director will be responsible for building and managing admissions events, forms, and surveys, as well as identifying data needs and creating visualizations to support decision-making. Participation in Slate conferences is encouraged to stay updated on CRM enhancements, and the Associate Director will assist in training staff on CRM-related functionalities. This role also involves liaising with the Office of University Relations to develop templates and communications through the CRM, as well as managing relationships with marketing vendor partners. Flexibility is essential, as the Associate Director must be willing to work some weekends and evenings to support admissions events and initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Supervises Admissions Counselor(s) and/or Senior Admissions Counselor(s) assigned to team
  • Works as a member of the Admissions Communications Team to create and implement automated communications plans
  • Develops and distributes electronic communications and tracks effectiveness for both undergraduate and graduate recruitment
  • Assists in the creation of marketing communications including content creation and graphic design
  • Works with the Director of Operations to ensure accurate integration of data into the CRM from outside sources
  • Creates reports for use by staff and senior level managers
  • Maintains and updates queries and rules in the CRM
  • Troubleshoots system issues to increase operational functionality
  • Builds and manages admissions events/forms and surveys
  • Identifies data needs and creates data visualizations
  • Attends Slate conferences and shares updates with staff
  • Assists in development and implementation of CRM related training for other staff
  • Liaises with Office of University Relations in the development and implementation of templates and communications through the CRM
  • Leads the creation and delivery of communications to prospective and recently enrolled students through the CRM
  • Manages relationships with marketing vendor partners
  • Works some Saturdays, Sundays, and evenings as required

Requirements

  • A Bachelor's degree is required
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with faculty, students, external partners, and a variety of administrative offices
  • Strong oral and written communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
  • Self-starter, problem solver, and creative thinker
  • Ability to work independently and as part of an office team
  • Ability to handle stress in a busy office atmosphere
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office software programs and strong computer skills
  • 1-3 years experience utilizing a CRM system with demonstrated experience in logic and development of reports/queries in a CRM required

  • 3+ years experience with Slate CRM, multi-variable analysis, and knowledge of HTML and SQL coding

  • Experience with print, digital marketing, or in maintaining web content is a plus
