About the position

The Associate Director of Admissions at the Art Academy of Cincinnati plays a crucial role in supporting the college's mission and vision by overseeing the admissions process. This position involves executing both short-term and long-term recruitment strategies, managing outreach efforts, and ensuring effective communication with prospective students. The role requires collaboration with various departments to enhance the admissions experience and maintain connections with applicants.

Responsibilities

  • Support the college's mission and vision in the admissions process.
  • Implement short-term and long-term recruiting efforts.
  • Book travel for admissions counselors for high school visits and fairs.
  • Travel in the Cincinnati region for college fairs, high schools, and recruiting events.
  • Contact prospective leads and applicant students via Common App or direct events.
  • Speak to large groups and classrooms about the college.
  • Manage outreach and communication with inquiries and applicants, including various student categories.
  • Coordinate events such as Open House and National Portfolio Day.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Enrollment on admissions marketing and outreach.
  • Mentor the Office of Admissions Counselor staff.
  • Provide customer service and educational insight during recruitment and admissions processes.
  • Communicate weekly feedback from travel and admissions funnel progress.
  • Work with Financial Aid to ensure FAFSA completion for incoming students.
  • Train counselors to accurately represent the college and its programs.
  • Develop professional relationships with art educators and build partnerships.
  • Collaborate on the execution of the Scholastics program and other events.
  • Connect the Ambassador program with the Admissions team and provide mentorship.
  • Execute the Shadow Program as directed by the Director of Enrollment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree preferably in art, design, creative writing, or a similar field.
  • Minimum of five years of Higher Education experience.
  • Minimum of three years of managerial experience (preferred).
  • Strong time management and attention to detail.
  • Willingness to collaborate with others.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Understanding of state and federal laws related to recruiting.
