About the position

The Associate Director of Athletic Operations is responsible for the overall management of the Pete Maravich Assembly Center (PMAC), focusing on staffing, event and facility management, construction, purchasing, policy administration, booking, budget management, security, and related operations. This role involves coordinating maintenance, overseeing improvements, managing event logistics, and ensuring compliance with NCAA, SEC, and University regulations. The position also includes recruiting and supervising staff, as well as serving as the primary game manager for Men's Basketball.

Responsibilities

• Manage overall operations of the Pete Maravich Assembly Center (PMAC).
• Coordinate maintenance issues and oversee improvements for the facility.
• Prepare work orders in coordination with Accounting and Budgeting groups.
• Manage general supply inventory and equipment storage.
• Serve as after-hours contact for facility-related issues.
• Lead game-day venue management including set-up and breakdown of events.
• Assist with venue-related in-game management during athletic events.
• Participate in planning and execution of various events including sports and special occasions.
• Act as a liaison between internal departments and external clients.
• Recruit, train, supervise, and evaluate staff and student workers.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Sports Management or related field.
• Three (3) years of experience in arena or stadium facility management.
• Extraordinary credentials or experience may substitute for a degree.

Nice-to-haves

• Master's degree in Sport Management or related field.
• Four (4) years of relevant experience at the NCAA Division I level.
• Proficiency in EMS facility and event scheduling software and Sling employee scheduling software.
