About the position

The Associate Director of Center-Based Program Quality and Operations at Gads Hill Center provides programmatic and administrative leadership to ensure alignment with the organization's mission and strategic plan. This role focuses on maintaining quality standards in early childhood education programs, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations, and fostering a collaborative environment for staff development and program improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Provide programmatic and administrative leadership to the Education, Compliance, and Quality Improvement departments.
  • Ensure center-based programs meet quality program requirements per Federal Head Start Performance Standards and local/state contract requirements.
  • Co-develop systems and procedures to ensure quality standards in collaboration with the Director of Early Childhood Education.
  • Support hiring, onboarding, and professional development of center-based staff.
  • Articulate and lead the development of high-quality program services, policies, and procedures.
  • Monitor recruitment and enrollment goals for center-based programs.
  • Conduct Community Needs Assessments and annual program self-assessments in collaboration with the Director of Early Childhood.
  • Facilitate training for the Parent Policy Committee and address parent concerns.
  • Ensure efficient organization and administration of early childhood programs.
  • Develop program reports and manage non-compliance issues in a timely manner.
  • Promote sharing of best practices across sites and programs.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and professional development plans for staff.
  • Represent Gads Hill Center in policy matters at city, state, and national levels.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field required; Master's degree preferred.
  • At least three years of experience in leadership, program management, and supervision.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish required.
  • Valid Illinois driver's license, car, and auto insurance.
