About the position

The Associate Director of Data & Reporting (IT Business System Analyst III) at KCTCS is a pivotal role responsible for managing and serving as the primary interface for all Blackbaud products, including Raiser's Edge and Awards Management software, as well as the Omatic software system-wide. This position is essential in ensuring the optimal functionality of these software systems, acting as a help desk for all users, and maintaining data integrity across various platforms. The role involves importing and updating employee and alumni data from PeopleSoft, performing list management using Omatic tools, and troubleshooting any functional or technical issues that arise for end-users. In addition to these responsibilities, the Associate Director will be tasked with defining, designing, developing, and delivering reports that are crucial for the system and all colleges within the KCTCS framework. This includes testing, monitoring, and analyzing results to ensure that the software functionalities are performing at their best. The position also requires the individual to maintain data security and integrity while training all end users on the software system-wide. The role is a defined-term contract position that is renewable each fiscal year and is based in Versailles, KY, with a hybrid work schedule that requires onsite presence for a minimum of three days per week. The Associate Director will also be responsible for reviewing daily import logs, addressing errors, responding to login issues, running cycle management, and supporting users with general application and import data updates. This position is critical in providing consultation and support to both college and system office staff regarding all software products used by Advancement, ensuring that the data management processes are efficient and effective.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and serve as the primary interface for all Blackbaud products, Raiser's Edge, and Awards Management software.
  • Act as a help desk for all users of the software systems.
  • Import and update employee data from PeopleSoft.
  • Import and update alumni data from PeopleSoft.
  • Perform list management using Omatic tools.
  • Maintain and implement new functionalities of software products.
  • Define, design, develop, and deliver reports for the system and all colleges.
  • Troubleshoot functional and technical problems for end-users and implement new software features.
  • Review daily import logs and address errors in Awards Management.
  • Respond to reference/reviewer login issues and run cycle management.
  • Support users and update general application and import data.
  • Maintain data security and integrity, and train end users on software system-wide.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Requirements

  • Associate's Degree in Information Technology, Business, Library Science, or equivalent.
  • Three (3) years of relevant experience in a similar role.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • In-depth knowledge of Raiser's Edge, Raiser's Edge NXT, Omatic, and Awards Management software.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Access.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Business, Library Science, or equivalent.
  • Seven (7) years of relevant experience in a similar role.
  • Knowledge of fundraising principles.
  • Certifications or training in formal fundraising programs (e.g., IUPUI Center on Philanthropy, CASE, AFP).
  • Blackbaud certification in Raiser's Edge including fundamental and professional level certificates.
