The Innovation Accelerator - Associate Director of Marketing is responsible for driving strategic innovation accelerator projects, by identifying white space opportunities, leading discoveries with consumer & customer-forward big ideas and collaborating with cross-functional innovation internal and external partners. In this role, you will lead cross-functional teams to conceptualize, prototype, and launch innovative products and services. You will collaborate with BU Studios to align innovation efforts with business goals and foster a culture of creativity and continuous improvement within the brand team. This position requires building from scratch and rolling up your sleeves to drive innovation, analyzing market trends and consumer insights to identify new opportunities for innovation, supervising the budget, resources, and timelines for innovation projects, and establishing and maintaining relationships with external partners, vendors, and industry thought leaders. You will also communicate progress and results of innovation initiatives to partners at all levels.

Responsibilities

  • Lead cross-functional teams to conceptualize, prototype, and launch innovative products and services.
  • Collaborate with BU Studios to align innovation efforts with business goals.
  • Foster a culture of creativity and continuous improvement within the brand team.
  • Analyze market trends and consumer insights to identify new opportunities for innovation.
  • Supervise the budget, resources, and timelines for innovation projects.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with external partners, vendors, and industry thought leaders.
  • Communicate progress and results of innovation initiatives to partners at all levels.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of proven experience leading innovation incubators or projects for CPG companies.
  • Strong marketing background.
  • Extensive experience in innovation and creativity, product development and scaling.
  • Digitally savvy and proficient in design thinking and agile methodologies.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for continuous learning and staying updated on industry trends, new technologies, and consumer behaviors to identify future possibilities and translate them into executable, breakthrough strategies.
  • Ability to influence leadership, proven through ability to advance ideas for recommendations to GM.
  • Strong analytical skills, with experience in forecasting new spaces and budgeting to build business cases to influence decision making and go-to-market choices.
  • Excellent communication (both written and verbal) and presentation skills, with ability to optimally communicate sophisticated ideas to both internal and external partners.
