About the position

This position is responsible for directing all Cervical and Dynamic Stabilization products and working directly with Sales, Marketing, Operations, and R&D departments to promote Xtant products. The role involves leading the development of new products, providing technical assistance to the sales force and distributors, and gathering information on the design, performance, and utilization of Xtant products. The individual will ensure that Xtant Distributor Agents, Xtant Sales Management, and Xtant Corporate employees have all the tools they need to sell and accurately deliver materials needed for surgery. The position requires a comprehensive understanding of applicable standards and regulations, including 21 CFR 820, 21 CFR 1271, AATB, MDSAP, and ISO 13485. The individual will support Xtant Medical's mission, values, and Quality Policy while maintaining a clean and safe working environment. Responsibilities include leading market research efforts to develop product growth strategies, building multigenerational product plans, analyzing the performance of new products, and collaborating with various departments to manage inventory effectively. Additionally, the role involves developing marketing materials for new product launches, conducting ongoing research to define market needs, and serving as a point of communication between R&D, Marketing, Sales, and Operations. The individual will represent the company professionally to the public, customers, and vendors, maintaining trusting relationships with physician partners, customers, and fellow employees. The position may also involve supervising others and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and safety protocols.

Responsibilities

  • Direct all Cervical and Dynamic Stabilization products.
  • Work with Sales, Marketing, Operations, and R&D departments to promote Xtant products.
  • Lead the development of new products and provide technical assistance to the sales force and distributors.
  • Gather information on the design, performance, and utilization of Xtant products.
  • Ensure Xtant Distributor Agents and Sales Management have the necessary tools for sales and delivery.
  • Develop and maintain an understanding of applicable standards and regulations.
  • Support Xtant Medical's mission, values, and Quality Policy.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment and adhere to safety protocols.
  • Lead market research efforts to develop product growth strategies.
  • Build multigenerational product plans with voice of customer inputs.
  • Analyze the performance of new products and report key metrics.
  • Direct surgeons through the Annual Needs Assessment process.
  • Collaborate with Operations, Accounting, and Sales to manage inventory effectively.
  • Develop marketing materials for new product launches and updates.
  • Produce competitive analysis comparing products with key competitors.
  • Communicate updates on products and market activities with relevant departments.
  • Provide technical support to the sales force and assist in meeting sales objectives.
  • Conduct ongoing research to define market needs and develop product lines.
  • Launch new products and gather post-market feedback.
  • Serve as a point of communication between R&D, Marketing, Sales, and Operations.
  • Represent the company professionally to the public and maintain relationships with stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university is required.
  • MBA highly preferred.
  • Five (5) to seven (7) years' prior experience in spine medical device marketing is required.
  • Five (5) to seven (7) years' spinal hardware or biologic product knowledge is required.
  • Strong technical hands-on knowledge of Xtant products is required.
  • General knowledge of ISO 13485 and FDA Quality System Regulation guidelines required, advanced knowledge preferred.
  • High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite of software applications.
  • Ability to react quickly and adapt to changes in priorities and circumstances.
  • Proven ability to read, write, review, and complete contract forms.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
  • Excellent project management skills required.
  • Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail are necessary.
  • Three (3) to five (5) years' prior management experience required.
  • Ability to train, cross-train, direct, and mentor others.

Nice-to-haves
