About the position

The Associate Director of Project Management at DDB Chicago is responsible for leading project management efforts to ensure timely, budget-conscious, and scope-compliant delivery of client projects. This role involves overseeing project planning, resource management, and risk management while fostering collaboration among various teams. The position requires exceptional communication skills and the ability to maintain high standards of work and behavior, ensuring client satisfaction and optimal product delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain focus under pressure and keep a positive attitude.
  • Understand project outcomes and processes thoroughly.
  • Ensure high standards for work and behavior, being accountable and reliable.
  • Demonstrate acute attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Communicate complex information effectively, both in writing and verbally.
  • Collaborate with Account and Discipline leads to define marketing plans and program scopes.
  • Oversee scope development activities of direct and indirect PM reports.
  • Interact with a range of stakeholders, from entry-level to upper management.
  • Establish leadership with internal stakeholders and clients.
  • Build productive and constructive relationships with team members and clients.
  • Work independently to tackle problems and direct to solutions.
  • Anticipate issues and needs before they arise and take necessary steps to mitigate them.
  • Leverage project management tools to manage operations and promote efficiencies.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of project management experience within an advertising agency or multi-agency teams.
  • Solid track record of leading projects from initiation to completion on time and within budget.
  • Complete understanding of marketing and communications planning principles.
  • Experience with financial or government projects is recommended.
  • Advertising agency experience with IAT model experience is a bonus.
  • Proficient in project scoping, planning, resource management, and risk management.
  • Knowledge of project management tools like Smartsheets, Workfront, and JIRA.
