ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR OF PROJECT MANAGEMENT

About the position

The position involves overseeing and leading a portfolio of complex projects and cross-functional teams to ensure successful delivery within budget and timelines. The role requires the development of detailed project plans, timelines, resource allocations, and budgets for assigned projects, ensuring alignment with business goals. The individual will lead and manage cross-functional project teams, assigning tasks, providing guidance, and motivating team members to achieve project milestones. Effective communication of project status, risks, and issues to key stakeholders, including senior leadership, is essential to ensure transparency and alignment. Additionally, the role includes identifying potential project risks, developing mitigation strategies, and proactively managing risks throughout the project lifecycle. Monitoring project quality, ensuring adherence to established standards and processes, and implementing quality control measures are also key responsibilities. The individual will track project budgets, identify cost variances, and take corrective action to maintain financial integrity. Regular project reports will be prepared, performance metrics analyzed, and areas for improvement identified. The role also contributes to the development and implementation of project management methodologies and best practices within the organization, processes quotations for new Product Cost of Goods (COGS), keeps working teams on track to meet monthly billing goals, and performs other related duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the development and implementation of project management methodologies and best practices within the organization
• Process Quotations for new Product Cost of Goods (COGS)
• Keep working teams on track to meet monthly billing goals
• Perform other related duties as assigned

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in the life science field, engineering or other related technical field
• 8+ years' experience in pharmaceutical CDMO environment
• Proven experience in project management, ideally with a track record of successfully managing large, complex projects across different business functions
• Experience with or ability to rapidly understand job costing
• Ability to understand, interpret and effectively communicate complex technical information to multiple levels inside and outside the organization
• Excellent interpersonal skills

• Excellent organizational and time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Adept in handling multiple tasks and challenges concurrently
• Proficient Computer Skills (ie, MS Project, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SalesForce, Manufacturing/Job Processing Software (ie MasterControl, SAP, etc))
