About the position

The Associate Director of Youth Residential Services (Evening/Weekend) is responsible for oversight of afterschool, evening, and weekend hours within the youth residential program. The Associate Director will supervise shifts, including the weekend and overnight, as well as support specialists. The Associate Director will also model appropriate interaction and assist in maintaining quality student engagement. The Associate Director ensures that all residents are afforded healthy and safe residential environments in which there are ample opportunities to experience community activities, develop relationships, make decisions, learn new skills, and be treated with dignity. This position will need to maintain relationships with other associate directors in order to effectively lead the Youth Residential after school time and to effectively participate in supervisory responsibilities with all managers.

Responsibilities

  • Use evidence-based, trauma-informed supervision with assigned staff members.
  • Direct the proper development and implementation of students' IEP and residential portions of Guild treatment plans within residential cohort.
  • Lead the development and ensure excellent implementation of residential curriculum including life skills, socialization, and recreation/leisure activities for students on the weekend and overnight shift.
  • Collaborate with Human Resources for residential hiring and promotions within assigned shifts.
  • Develop and implement tools and processes for effective, safe and productive overnight and weekend shifts.
  • Develop and implement tools and processes for proper student engagement during weekend and overnight shifts.
  • Work with educational and clinical team members for each house in the training and modeling for staff to implement IEPs, behavior plans and Guild treatment plans.
  • Develop and implement tools and processes for each house to understand the unique transition needs from school and community back to the house and vice versa.
  • Provide orientation and training to new weekend supervisors, overnight staff, and support staff.
  • Ensure children's residential programs are in compliance with all mandates of DEEC, DESE and DCF.
  • Assist with planning department and division special events.
  • Work as part of youth residential administrative team to assign managers and administrators to perform specific pieces of orientation.
  • Ensure payroll is completed for assigned staff members.
  • Serve as part of the administrative on-call team.
  • Oversee the preparation of homes for residential inspections in conjunction with Facilities, other associate directors, and managers.
  • Oversee accurate and timely data collection in residences by conducting routine audits of all data in residences.
  • Provide on-call supervision and emergency response to Guild residences.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is required, master's degree is preferred.
  • Six years of experience (four years in a supervisory role) with individuals who have mental health diagnoses and/or developmental disabilities.
  • Knowledge of Massachusetts regulatory standards is required with preferred experience in regulatory compliance with standards from Department of Early Education and Care (DEEC), Department of Children and Families (DCF), and Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE).
  • Excellent organization and time management skills.
  • Reliable transportation to multiple residential locations in Massachusetts.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to demonstrate supervisory and administrative skills.
  • A valid driver's license.
  • Undergo background record check process.
