About the position

The Associate Director, Operations, AP Assessment Production will play a pivotal role in overseeing the operational aspects of the AP Assessment Production team. This position is essential for ensuring that the production of high-quality assessment materials meets the rigorous standards set by the College Board. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the workflow of assessment production, coordinating with various stakeholders, and ensuring that all projects are delivered on time and within budget. This role requires a deep understanding of the assessment development process, as well as the ability to lead a team of professionals in a fast-paced environment. In this role, you will collaborate closely with content developers, project managers, and external vendors to streamline production processes and enhance the quality of assessment materials. You will also be responsible for implementing best practices in project management and operational efficiency, ensuring that the team adheres to established timelines and quality benchmarks. The Associate Director will be expected to analyze production data to identify trends and areas for improvement, and to develop strategies that enhance the overall effectiveness of the assessment production process. As a leader within the AP Assessment Production team, you will foster a culture of collaboration and innovation, encouraging team members to share ideas and contribute to the continuous improvement of our processes. You will also represent the team in meetings with senior leadership, providing updates on project status and operational challenges, and advocating for the resources needed to achieve our goals. This position is fully remote, allowing for flexibility in work arrangements, but candidates located near College Board offices have the option to work in a hybrid model, with in-office days on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; advanced degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in operations management or project management, preferably in an educational or assessment context.
  • Strong understanding of the assessment development process and best practices in project management.
  • Proven ability to lead and manage teams effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience with data-driven decision making.
