About the position

The Associate Director, Paid Social Media is responsible for developing and overseeing strategic paid social media campaigns for AXM clients. This role focuses on achieving client goals and increasing engagement across various platforms. The individual will lead the paid social strategy, manage budgets, oversee campaign development, and collaborate with analytics and creative teams to optimize content and targeting, requiring both creative and data-driven approaches.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement comprehensive paid social media strategies aligned with client marketing goals.
  • Create detailed targeting recommendations for client target audiences.
  • Oversee planning, execution, and management of paid social campaigns across multiple platforms.
  • Create and test various ad creatives to maximize engagement and conversions.
  • Manage the paid social media budget, ensuring efficient allocation across campaigns.
  • Regularly report on budget performance and recommend spend adjustments based on campaign success.
  • Track key performance indicators (KPIs) using in-platform analytics tools.
  • Recommend measurement solutions within social platforms in partnership with the analytics team.
  • Monitor social campaigns and provide optimization recommendations based on performance data.
  • Work closely with internal Media, Investment, and Analytics teams for strategic alignment.
  • Coordinate with external agencies and vendors for campaign execution.
  • Stay updated on social media marketing trends and best practices.
  • Explore new social media platforms and advertising techniques.
  • Develop paid social test and learn strategies across clients.
  • Provide detailed reports on paid social media performance to senior management.
  • Leverage insights from social media data to inform broader marketing strategies.
  • Lead and mentor the paid social team, fostering a collaborative environment.
  • Provide ongoing training to the team on industry tools and trends.
  • Participate in New Business work as needed.

Requirements

  • 7-10+ years in a management role
  • Excellent knowledge of Paid Social Media platforms and offerings
  • Ability to develop and lead paid social advertising strategy across multiple clients
  • Strong experience presenting to senior-level client contacts
  • Extensive in-platform activation experience with campaign setup and management
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to manage expectations and priorities internally and externally
  • Acute attention to detail
  • Strong experience with Google Workspace & Tools and Microsoft Suite
  • Relevant industry certifications
