About the position

The Consumer Associate Director for Pain is responsible for defining and executing the marketing strategy for pain brands, focusing on both B2C and B2B2C initiatives. This role involves leading omnichannel marketing efforts, developing direct-to-consumer campaigns, and collaborating with various internal and external stakeholders to drive market growth and enhance brand visibility.

Responsibilities

  • Develop the pain pet owner strategic plan and coordinate its execution.
  • Implement and measure direct-to-consumer (DTC) marketing initiatives for the pain portfolio.
  • Develop and execute public relations and crisis management plans.
  • Participate in financial planning, market development, and product forecasting.
  • Provide direction on pet owner materials and programs to the Customer Strategy team.
  • Guide the digital marketing strategy and execution for pet owners.
  • Manage communications with customers, agencies, and senior leadership.
  • Monitor and gather insights on pet owner behavior and competitive activities.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and advertising agencies to drive market growth.
  • Lead Budget Operations planning for the Pain portfolio.

Requirements

  • 10 years of marketing leadership or related experience, preferably in animal health or veterinary marketing.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a relevant major; MBA preferred.
  • Excellent understanding of science-based marketing and the marketing process.
  • Proven ability to develop and deliver consumer marketing plans.
  • Experience in developing DTC campaigns and media plans.
  • Demonstrated experience in influencing teams in strategic initiatives.
  • Strong collaboration and relationship-building skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong project management and computer software skills.
  • Results-oriented with strong financial analysis skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in veterinary marketing is preferred.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects while maintaining a positive attitude.
