About the position
The Associate Director, Planning at Spark Foundry is responsible for overseeing media strategies for assigned brands, ensuring accurate budget control and effective online media activity. This role requires a deep understanding of clients' businesses and the ability to develop strong relationships while managing a team and collaborating across functions to meet client objectives.
Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day media issues for assigned brands, ensuring accurate budget control.
- Develop and maintain strong knowledge of clients' business to deliver against their needs and objectives.
- Build strong, collaborative relationships with clients, instilling trust and authority on behalf of the agency.
- Manage timelines, projects, and personnel within the direct report team and across cross-functional teams.
- Adapt to a fast-paced, constantly evolving environment while managing multiple work streams.
- Utilize strategic and critical thinking to innovate and improve outputs in collaboration with teams.
- Maintain productive vendor relationships and manage them effectively.
- Lead in-person meetings with key clients, demonstrating confidence and polished presentation skills.
- Self-motivate and organize to coordinate with multiple internal and external clients.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in digital media planning, buying, and management with progressive responsibility.
- Strong strategic thinking skills with the ability to analyze and solve problems critically.
- Experience in leading a team and managing group dynamics effectively.
- Proven ability to build relationships with clients, vendors, and representatives, with a successful negotiation history.
- Active engagement with digital gadgets and communities, with a passion for new technologies and their application in branding.
