About the position

The Associate Director, Portfolio Oversight & Management Support (CLO) at Barings is responsible for providing comprehensive oversight and management support for Collateralized Loan Obligations (CLOs). This role involves collaborating with various teams to ensure compliance, enhance operational processes, and deliver high-quality service to clients. The position requires a strong analytical background and the ability to manage multiple portfolios effectively while maintaining a proactive approach to oversight and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Support the US CLO team within Global Public Portfolio Services.
• Develop expertise in holdings, terms, and transactions of multiple portfolios.
• Provide daily and ad-hoc support to the investment team and institutional clients.
• Interact frequently with Portfolio Management and Legal teams to address reporting questions.
• Oversee service provider reconciliation of portfolio level activity.
• Ensure compliance with Indenture requirements and review monthly reconciliations.
• Assist in preparing investor reports and responding to ad hoc requests.
• Act as a subject matter expert on the funds/portfolios covered.
• Work with third-party administrators to ensure high service levels.
• Maintain awareness of CLO industry and regulatory restrictions.
• Prepare relevant portfolio reporting as required.
• Improve operational processes and recommend changes for efficiency.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Experience with Aladdin tool is beneficial; Power BI experience is a plus.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to summarize findings clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing.
• Detail-oriented and highly motivated team player.
