The Associate Director, Private Markets, Business Development/Relationship Management at S&P Ratings plays a pivotal role in supporting the Head of Private Markets Sales in North America. This position is integral to maintaining existing client relationships, originating new sales opportunities, and coordinating internal commercial initiatives. The S&P Global Commercial Team is known for its collaborative spirit, where team members continuously brainstorm solutions to help clients navigate complex business challenges. This role requires a high level of energy, a proactive approach, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. In this role, the Associate Director will engage with the largest Asset Managers, Investors, and Intermediaries, conducting strategic analysis and segmentation of regional markets to identify new rating opportunities. The position involves developing relationship overviews for key Alternative Asset Manager relationships, collecting and analyzing market data to prioritize sales opportunities, and utilizing Salesforce to manage prospects effectively. The Associate Director will also be responsible for marketing efforts, including telephone and email outreach to potential issuers, organizing face-to-face meetings, and supporting the development of prospective clients. Additionally, the Associate Director will attend meetings to gain experience in pitching S&P services, assist in managing client engagements, and prepare data for monthly reporting. This role is designed for individuals who are self-motivated, possess strong networking skills, and can analyze market trends to anticipate customer needs. The ideal candidate will have a background in finance or economics, with experience in customer-facing roles, and a solid understanding of capital and private markets.
