About the position

The role is for a data and analytics technology leader within the Human Health IT US Data Services team, focusing on the technical delivery of end-to-end data capabilities and products. The position emphasizes the importance of data as a strategic asset to drive insights and decision-making across the organization. The successful candidate will lead efforts in data pipeline architecture, data governance, and value realization, while collaborating with various stakeholders to ensure high-quality delivery of data solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Lead efforts to design, build, and maintain data pipeline architecture from sourcing to data readiness for stakeholders.
  • Partner with Product Line leader and other stakeholders to understand, prioritize, plan, and implement technical solutions that deliver business value.
  • Serve as the single point of accountability for all technical matters within the product line.
  • Coordinate execution for successful delivery across various teams and vendor partners to meet product line objectives.
  • Contribute to developing accurate plans, resource estimates, and timelines aligned with business requirements.
  • Coach, guide, and manage a team of technical staff to deliver solutions from conception to retirement.
  • Define and enforce development standards and best practices to ensure quality and reusability of solution components.
  • Apply risk-based decision making to complex problems and consult with subject matter advisors as needed.
  • Conduct innovation proof of concepts and pilots to identify and onboard solutions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree required, preferably in IT, Engineering, or Computer Science.
  • Minimum of 8 years of relevant work experience in Data and Analytics.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a technical leader of data product teams.
  • Strong expertise in architecting and implementing data and analytics platforms and data pipelines using modern, cloud-based technologies.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to establish credibility with stakeholders.

Nice-to-haves

  • Demonstrable knowledge of technologies used in the Pharmaceutical commercial space such as Veeva, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Google Analytics.
  • Previous experience in Life Sciences and Pharmaceutical industry.
  • Proficiency in Life Sciences Commercial data domains.
  • Experience in architecting performant solutions at tera-byte scale using cloud technologies.
  • Certifications in AWS and/or Databricks.
  • Master's Degree preferred.
