About the position

The Program Equity Associate Director at Church World Service (CWS) is responsible for enhancing program participant feedback mechanisms and managing client-centered evaluations of reception and placement (R&P) services across the CWS network. This role focuses on developing tools, resources, and training to support ethical client-centered approaches, ensuring continuous program improvement, and centering the needs and experiences of newcomers throughout all program phases.

Responsibilities

  • Develop tools, guidance, and resources to support the CWS network and RWS staff in implementing ethical client-centered approaches.
  • Collaborate with CWS network offices and external departments to manage the pilot of a client-centered survey and its scale-up.
  • Manage participatory focus group discussions with R&P clients, including budget management and dissemination of findings.
  • Inform programming with feedback collected from program participants via learning sessions and automated dashboards.
  • Support the development of a RWS learning framework for continuous learning and effective feedback loops.
  • Apply an intersectional feminist approach to ensure newcomers' needs are prioritized throughout the program.
  • Participate in or lead CWS and inter-agency working groups on client participatory approaches.
  • Develop and execute learning products to share findings with stakeholders.
  • Maintain up-to-date self-education about the R&P program and client-centered ethical research.
  • Maintain positive working relationships with CWS-HQ staff and external partners.
  • Identify strengths and weaknesses in existing data collection systems and propose solutions.
  • Represent CWS at internal and external conferences and meetings.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent education or work experience required.
  • Specialized training in ethical research required.
  • At least 7 years of experience managing complex M&E or research initiatives among marginalized communities required.
  • Experience in a local resettlement affiliate or a national office of a resettlement agency preferred.
  • Experience conducting research or M&E trainings required.
  • Excellent project and data management skills.
  • Strong budget management experience.
  • Strong interpersonal and diplomacy skills.
  • Strong knowledge and experience in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and database software.
  • Experience using data visualization software such as Tableau, PowerBI, or Python required.
  • Strong quantitative and qualitative analysis skills using statistical and qualitative analysis software.

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's degree in public health, public policy, nonprofit administration or similar field preferred.
  • Experience using virtual learning platforms such as Teams, Zoom, and Articulate preferred.
  • Fluency in a language spoken by refugee populations a plus.
