The selected candidate will lead the execution of implementations and internal initiatives that support Evolent's enterprise strategy and growth. This role also involves mentoring and developing team members, fostering their skills and professional growth. The Associate Director will collaborate with Program Managers, Project Managers, Business and Testing Analysts on strategic initiatives and partner implementations, requiring frequent interaction with both internal and external stakeholders. Cross-functional collaboration with Product, Technology, Clinical, Operations, and Growth teams is also a key aspect of this role. In this position, the Associate Director will guide day-to-day activities for at least one strategic initiative or partner project with minimal supervision. Responsibilities include developing, monitoring, and managing project work plans, deliverables, and activities, as well as facilitating project meetings and effectively communicating project status. The role requires the identification and management of dependencies and project impacts across business areas, proactive monitoring and documentation of project risks and issues, and holding project teams accountable to critical path timelines to ensure deadlines are met. The Associate Director will work closely with program managers and partner collaboratively with project stakeholders across functional areas, crafting communications that consider both the audience and the situation.

Responsibilities

  • Guide day-to-day activities for at least one strategic initiative or partner project with minimal supervision.
  • Develop, monitor, and manage project work plan, deliverables, and activities.
  • Independently facilitate project meetings and effectively communicate project status.
  • Identify and manage dependencies and project impacts across business areas.
  • Proactively identify, monitor, document, and communicate project risks and issues.
  • Hold project team accountable to critical path timelines to ensure deadlines are met.
  • Work closely with program manager and partner collaboratively with project stakeholders across functional areas.
  • Craft communications by considering both the audience and situation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience (Required)
  • 4+ years of health care management and/or consulting experience (Required)
  • 4+ years of project management (Required)
  • Strong client management or customer service skills (Required)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills (Required)
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple complex projects simultaneously (Required)
  • Expert knowledge of MS Office products (Required)

Nice-to-haves

  • Previous health care knowledge, preferably in one of more of the following areas: provider systems, health plan operations, implementations, payer contracting, alternative payment models, delegated risk, or ACOs / CINs (Preferred)
  • Working knowledge of AdaptiveWork (or other project management application), Confluence, JIRA (Preferred)
  • PMP project management certification (Preferred)
