About the position

The Associate Director of Radiology at Penn Medicine is responsible for the administrative and operational oversight of Radiology Services, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and enhancing patient and employee satisfaction. This role involves managing human resources, operational policies, budgetary planning, and collaboration with medical directors to maintain high-quality service delivery in both inpatient and outpatient settings.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all Federal, State, and local regulatory standards for Radiology Services.
• Manage human resource issues including recruitment, mentoring, and performance appraisals.
• Develop and implement operational policies and procedures for the department.
• Coordinate daily activities, staffing, scheduling, and payroll management.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and maintain continuous accreditation readiness.
• Collaborate with Medical Directors to coordinate research and performance improvement measures.
• Manage employee satisfaction and retention strategies.
• Analyze patient satisfaction data and implement improvement plans.
• Develop staff through continuous growth opportunities and performance management.
• Ensure financial management aligns with budgetary planning and operational needs.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Science, Health Administration, Business Administration, or related field.
• Five years of post-registry clinical experience in Radiology.
• Two years of supervisory experience in a healthcare setting.
• Current registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification.
