About the position

The Associate Director, Recognition and Stewardship at Dartmouth College is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing a comprehensive stewardship strategy to support and advance Tuck's philanthropic priorities. This role involves collaboration with advancement leadership and focuses on enhancing donor recognition and engagement within a higher education context.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement a comprehensive stewardship strategy for Tuck's philanthropic priorities.
  • Manage recognition and stewardship of annual and leadership gifts.
  • Utilize fundraising management systems and technology to optimize work processes and services.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to achieve shared goals and objectives.
  • Anticipate and exceed the expectations of alumni, donors, and colleagues.
  • Drive innovation in stewardship practices and donor engagement.
  • Support a vibrant, culturally diverse, and inclusive community.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree plus 6 or more years of experience in a relevant field.
  • Experience managing recognition and stewardship of gifts in higher education or nonprofit organizations.
  • Proficiency in fundraising management systems and technology, such as Ellucian Advance.
  • Knowledge of higher education philanthropy and fundraising principles.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively and drive innovation in stewardship practices.
