About the position

At Bristol Myers Squibb, the Associate Director of Dermatology Regional Marketing plays a pivotal role in the US commercial organization, focusing on commercial Key Opinion Leader (KOL) engagement to uncover regional opportunities. This position serves as a vital link between regional markets and headquarters, facilitating speaker development and refresher training for disease states and products. The Associate Director will support the execution of approved disease state education, promotional, and patient programs, collaborating with various field-based professionals, including Regional Business Directors (RBDs), District Business Managers (DBMs), Market Access Account Executives, and Medical Science Liaisons (MSLs). This role is integral to the US Immunology Dermatology Marketing Team and reports directly to the Director of Regional Marketing. The responsibilities of the Associate Director include working with cross-functional teams to gather key customer insights and contribute to strategy, tactics, messaging, and program execution. The role involves supporting the execution of Advisory Boards, identifying Healthcare Professional (HCP) consultants, and facilitating advisory board meetings. The Associate Director will champion the brand and disease state through meaningful engagement with targeted accounts, executing physician engagement activities in the field and at key congresses. In addition, the Associate Director will manage speaker programs, developing physician speakers to deliver high-quality presentations on disease states and products. This includes providing refresher training, ensuring compliance in program execution, and monitoring speaker performance. The role requires collaboration with both field-based and home office teams to develop account plans and provide training support for sales teams, all while adhering to the company's Code of Ethics and Business Conduct. The position demands a self-driven individual with strong organizational skills, capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously and willing to travel regularly for business purposes, including evenings and select weekends.

Responsibilities

  • Work with cross-functional teams to provide key customer insights and input on strategy, tactics, messaging, and program execution.
  • Support the execution of approved Advisory Boards and assist in identifying Healthcare Professional (HCP) consultants.
  • Facilitate, participate in, and attend advisory boards as appropriate.
  • Engage with KOLs in assigned targeted accounts to champion the brand and disease state.
  • Execute physician engagement activities in the field and at key congresses.
  • Develop physician speakers for high-quality speaker programs on disease state and product.
  • Provide refresher and follow-up training to speakers on approved materials.
  • Ensure appropriate and compliant execution of speaker programs and monitor speaker performance.
  • Provide field-based training support for Sales when needed.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop account plans and provide key customer insights.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in product marketing, field sales, or medical affairs.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Dermatology Marketing, Sales Management, and/or extensive launch experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience with thought leader engagement, advisory boards, and speaker's bureau strongly preferred.
  • Proven ability to manage a large geographical territory.
  • Demonstrated ability to build productive stakeholder relationships and effectively meet their needs.
  • Strong business acumen with an understanding of market dynamics and corporate goals.
  • Clinical knowledge and aptitude in complex/competitive disease states.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills and organizational abilities.
  • Self-driven with strong organizational and planning skills.
  • Ability to leverage appropriate interpersonal styles and techniques to gain acceptance of ideas or plans.
