About the position

As an Associate Director of Sales Data Management, Data Strategy and Governance at Gilead, you will play a crucial role in ensuring data integrity and quality within the commercial data management process. This position focuses on transforming data into a strategic asset to drive business value, supporting the commercial organization with high-quality data insights and analytics. You will oversee commercial data workflows, lead data management projects, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance data systems and processes.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee commercial data workflows, ensuring fidelity in operations of the data warehouse and governance processes.
  • Deliver enterprise data insights, supporting cross-functional analytics teams with high-quality commercial data.
  • Lead the intake, staging, and processing of Specialty Pharmacy (SP) data, ensuring optimal usability.
  • Oversee prioritization and updates for data warehouse sustainment requests across franchises.
  • Design and maintain a data quality framework tailored to commercial data management, addressing potential data integrity issues.
  • Facilitate business rules discussions with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Perform data analytics and provide analysis to cross-functional stakeholders based on business needs.
  • Partner with IT and other commercial functions to enhance systems and processes supporting commercial data needs.
  • Explore new technologies to innovate in data investigations and conflict resolution.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree and 10 years of experience, or Master's Degree and 8 years of experience, or PhD and 2 years of experience.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to drive large and complex cross-functional projects.
  • Strong working knowledge of relevant software systems (e.g., MS Excel, Access, MS Word & PowerPoint).
  • Knowledge of SQL and/or other BI tools (MicroStrategy, Tableau) is preferred.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with multiple internal customers.
  • Demonstrated excellence in strategic and tactical analysis and proactive planning.
  • Ability to present complex information accurately and persuasively to all management levels.
  • Deep knowledge of pharmaceutical data and systems.
