About the position

The Associate Director of Sales Operations and Incentive Compensation at Ascendis Pharma is a pivotal role responsible for driving the strategy and execution of Sales Operations. This position oversees various functions including field incentive compensation planning, territory management, promotional activity tracking, and budget management. The role serves as the main point of contact for internal and external partners, reporting results and trends to leadership while collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance operational efficiency and productivity.

Responsibilities

• Lead Sales Operations process and systems to enhance efficiency and productivity
• Oversee sales incentive compensation plans, including models and analysis of potential incentive compensation
• Collaborate with the Commercial Operations team to review data and improve existing processes
• Partner with Global IT to develop dashboards, KPIs, and reports for monitoring commercial initiatives
• Communicate and drive programs throughout the organization by collaborating with internal and external stakeholders

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree required; Master's Degree or MBA preferred
• Minimum of 5 to 7 years of work in the life science industry within sales operations
• At least 3 years of direct Sales Operations experience in incentive compensation processing and design
• Experience leading/managing vendors in the life science industry
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Advanced knowledge of MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) is required; Tableau preferred
• Understanding of the pharmaceutical landscape, including knowledge of commercial infrastructure and drug development processes
• Ability to adapt to evolving business needs and technologies
