About the position

The Associate Director, Sales Representative role at Moody's is focused on driving growth within the Insurance Business Unit by managing key accounts and acquiring new clients in the (re)insurance and MGA sectors. This strategic position involves consulting at the C-level to address client challenges through a solutions-sales approach, leveraging Moody's data and platforms to enhance client engagement and satisfaction. The role requires a strong emphasis on relationship-building, sales growth, and collaboration with various internal teams to deliver tailored solutions to clients.

Responsibilities

  • Drive client activity and achieve sales growth in your assigned territory.
  • Develop and nurture relationships with client decision makers and key influencers.
  • Understand all Moody's data, modelling, software, and service solutions to drive holistic client engagement.
  • Develop detailed client-centric plans to help clients achieve their strategic imperatives.
  • Work closely with team members in various groups, including Pre-Sales, Client Success, Services, Product Management, and Engineering, to introduce customers to our solutions or develop custom solutions for specific needs.
  • Manage internal sales reporting for assigned clients, including maintaining an accurate account of opportunities in Salesforce.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree in business, economics, finance, marketing, or related fields.
  • 8+ years of direct business-to-business sales within financial services, with a focus on serving customers within the P&C insurance segment preferred.
  • Proven YOY revenue increases selling high value complex software, SaaS, analytics or related technology with a consultative approach.
  • Proven success in building complex solutions sales, preferably with software, risk or analytical products, leading and closing individual deals.
  • Proven ability to forecast and close business to plan on a quarterly cycle.
  • Ability to defend price by demonstrating value; must have strong ability to understand, negotiate and sell value.
  • Commercial success in exploring and evaluating key client issues from a broad perspective.
  • Experience communicating at C-Level and articulating value propositions.
  • Confidence in networking in large groups.
  • Must have fluent English language skills, both written and spoken.
