About the position

The Associate Director, Sales Training at Travere Therapeutics is responsible for creating and delivering training materials and workshops aimed at enhancing the effectiveness of the clinical account manager team, particularly in the context of treatments for rare kidney disease. This role involves close collaboration with sales leadership and marketing to ensure effective messaging and to design training sessions that improve the clinical acumen and selling skills of the team. The position plays a crucial role in aligning training projects with business goals and improving the overall performance of the sales force.

Responsibilities

  • Develop training materials for POA meetings, new hire training, and other sessions to enhance clinical and business acumen as well as selling skills of the clinical account manager team.
  • Accountable for managing sales training activities and sessions for the sales force.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to ensure effective implementation of brand strategy in training programs for clinical account managers.
  • Utilize insights from customers and clinical account managers to develop effective training programs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business or relevant Life Sciences discipline; equivalent education and experience may be considered.
  • 8+ years of relevant experience, with 2-3 years in delivering clinical/product training or selling skills training preferred.
  • 5+ years of customer-facing sales experience.
  • Strong selling skills with demonstrated effectiveness in delivering compelling sales presentations or relevant experience in sales training within the pharmaceutical industry.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience as a clinical account manager with rare disease experience preferred, but related clinical sales experience is acceptable.
  • Demonstrated clinical acumen in rare kidney disease or related therapeutic area.
  • Prior sales training or relevant leadership experience preferred.
  • Excellent collaboration skills with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage complexity.
