About the position

The Senior Operations Associate at Lilly plays a crucial role in supporting the North American Logistics Operation (NALO) organization. This position is responsible for overseeing internal US distribution centers and managing business improvement projects, warehouse capacity analysis, operations metrics development, inventory management, and compliance initiatives. The role requires a solid understanding of the pharmaceutical industry and distribution processes, ensuring that operations meet quality and regulatory standards while driving efficiency and productivity across the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Support internal US distribution centers and occasionally assist with NALO's 3PL network.
  • Design and implement business improvement projects and warehouse capacity analysis.
  • Develop and report on operations metrics, focusing on Warehouse & Operations KPIs and Customer-Focused KPIs.
  • Manage investigations and deviations within operations, ensuring compliance with quality standards.
  • Lead initiatives to drive efficiency in process flow and resource utilization.
  • Coordinate with maintenance and engineering to maintain equipment in a cGMP manner.
  • Prepare operations employees for internal and external audits.
  • Provide performance feedback and coaching to operations personnel.
  • Assist in the performance management cycle and talent pipeline development across NALO.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or 10+ years of work experience.
  • 5+ years of experience leading people in an operational or pharmaceutical organization.
  • Knowledge of current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs).

  • Highly organized with the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Proven critical problem-solving and leadership skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience with computer systems and software such as Microsoft Word, Excel, SAP, PowerBI, and PowerPoint.
  • Knowledge of TrackWise (QMS) and GMARS (CMMS).
  • Experience with Change Management and Deviation Management.
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles for continuous improvement.
