About the position

VIZIO's Platform & Content Partnerships team is seeking an Associate Director of Software Product Marketing to lead the team responsible for marketing the VIZIO portfolio of Platform products & features, including Home Screen, Mobile, VIZIO Account, and WatchFree+. Reporting into the Group Vice President, Platform Content & Partnerships, this role requires a strategic and analytical leader with a deep understanding of consumer electronics and the smart home ecosystem. The successful candidate will drive consumer product/feature adoption and engagement as well as support revenue growth through innovative marketing strategies and campaigns. You will deliver internal & external product messaging, multi-channel go-to-market plans, market research, and work cross-functionally to facilitate timely product updates, provide reporting, and marketing materials for all segments of the business. With two direct reports, you will also be responsible for not only ensuring the timely and high-quality delivery of marketing activity, but also the development of the technical skills and capability across the team. This is an in-person role, working from our corporate headquarters in Irvine, California.

Responsibilities

  • Develop a product marketing strategy to establish and maintain an ongoing consumer dialogue with VIZIO users along all touch points of the consumer journey, including the unboxing experience, on-screen, mobile, CRM tools, media, social, and PR/Influencer.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive product marketing strategies that align with VIZIO's objectives and market opportunities.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to plan and execute successful product launches, ensuring effective positioning, messaging, and promotion.
  • Conduct thorough market research and competitive analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and threats, using insights to shape product features, pricing, and go-to-market strategies.
  • Design and implement go-to-market plans, including target audience identification, messaging, channel strategy, and promotional activities.
  • Work closely with Product Management, Engineering, Sales, and Customer Support teams to align product development and marketing efforts.
  • Oversee the creation of compelling marketing content, including product videos, demos, presentations, whitepapers, case studies, and social media campaigns.
  • Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of marketing initiatives and optimize strategies accordingly.
  • Gather and analyze customer feedback and usage data to inform product improvements and marketing tactics.
  • Ensure consistency in brand messaging and positioning across all marketing channels and materials.
  • Leverage all existing channels to drive increased product awareness, time spent on platform, and ultimately user loyalty.
  • Facilitate audience segmentation development, including User/Consumer creative and messaging testing.
  • Optimize campaign performance by running A/B tests on campaign goals, messaging, CTAs, creative, and more.
  • Assist in timely and accurate communication of product marketing plans to VIZIO's Marketing, Business Development, Sales, Account Management, and Finance teams.
  • Develop campaign activation strategies that cultivate new and existing consumers, promote the VIZIO value proposition, amplify the entertainment experience, and engage consumers across all channels in the VIZIO ecosystem.
  • Collaborate with the data team on assessing efficiency & ROI of all channels through attribution analysis.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in product marketing, with at least 3 years managing a team within the consumer electronics or software industry.
  • Experience in the Smart TV or smart home technology space is highly desirable.
  • Proven track record of successful product launches and marketing campaigns.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Creative thinker with a customer-centric approach.
  • Proficiency in digital marketing tools and platforms, including SEO, SEM, social media, and content marketing.
  • Demonstrates strong leadership and team management skills.
