About the position

The Associate Director, WW Cell Therapy Medical, Operations and Product Science at Bristol Myers Squibb is responsible for providing clinical and scientific leadership in the field of Cell Therapy, particularly for CAR T products. This role involves oversight of nonconforming CAR T products, supporting medical teams, and ensuring launch readiness in new countries. The position requires a strong background in cellular therapy and hematology/oncology, along with the ability to collaborate with various stakeholders to enhance patient care and support clinical trials.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the Medical Director point of contact for Medical teams supporting CAR T sites.
  • Ensure a positive first CAR T clinical experience by training affiliate Medical staff.
  • Act as the point of contact for escalated calls from healthcare professionals regarding CAR T products.
  • Assist in the qualification and certification process for CAR T program sites.
  • Provide post-launch support and strategy for CAR T sites in collaboration with local medical teams.
  • Manage clinical issues related to nonconforming products and communicate with treating physicians.
  • Develop training materials and provide training for external and internal stakeholders.
  • Support cross-functional working groups focused on non-conforming CAR T products and site support.
  • Collaborate with Medical launch leads to execute CAR T strategies and tactics.
  • Represent WW CT Medical as a therapeutic expert at various professional meetings.

Requirements

  • MD or PhD with clinical, research, and/or industry experience in cellular therapy and Hematology/Oncology.
  • 5-7 years of academic or industry experience in relevant fields.
  • Expertise in cellular therapy and hematological malignancies.
  • Strong clinical management knowledge and skills.
  • Excellent analytical skills with experience in translating medical information into strategies.
  • Proficiency in data review and interpretation.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in developing medical affairs strategies.
  • Knowledge of CAR T therapy and its applications.
