Capgemini is seeking a Power Validation Engineer with a robust understanding of electrical engineering principles and fundamental power circuit validation concepts. The ideal candidate will have the ability to define and create electrical test plans to validate the complete power sub-system of a product. This role requires excellent problem-solving skills, particularly in root cause analysis techniques for addressing power supply circuit issues. The engineer will be responsible for ensuring that the power supply designs meet the necessary specifications and performance criteria, contributing to the overall success of consumer electronics products, especially battery-operated devices. The Power Validation Engineer will engage in various testing activities, including electrical circuit testing to validate electrical parameters of power supply designs, such as DC-DC converters, multi-phase regulators, LED/display backlight drivers, and battery chargers. Experience in Voltage Regulation (VR) testing, including Switch Mode Power Supplies (SMPS), Low Dropout Regulators (LDO), and Load Switches (LDSW) in battery-operated systems is essential. The role also involves performing VR measurements, including line-load regulation, noise, ripple, efficiency, overcurrent protection (OCP), overvoltage lockout (OVLO), static load, and transient load testing. Additionally, the engineer will be responsible for Point-of-Load (POL) testing and power design validation for consumer electronics products. Proficiency in using hardware design validation equipment such as mixed signal oscilloscopes, DC power analyzers, electronic loads, digital multimeters (DMM), and DC power supplies is required. The candidate must demonstrate the ability to create comprehensive electrical test plans that ensure the power sub-systems are validated effectively. This position is critical in maintaining the high standards of product performance and reliability that Capgemini is known for.
