About the position

The Associate Electrical Engineer will engage in various analyses, design, and assembly tasks related to electrical engineering projects. This role involves developing and maintaining methods and processes for manufacturing components and collaborating with design engineering to coordinate the release of new products. The engineer will analyze electrical circuits, maintain records, and ensure compliance with industry standards.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with design engineering to coordinate the release of new products and review engineering drawings prior to release.
  • Use computer-aided design tools (Altium) to capture and update schematics and layouts based on existing products.
  • Develop and validate detailed Interface Control Documents (ICD) to meet system level interconnect requirements.
  • Integrate electrical and mechanical parts for customer-specific applications, including software and firmware updates.
  • Perform operational or methods analyses related to MIL and AS9100 standards.
  • Coordinate the evaluation of engineering changes and serve as a technical liaison with other engineering personnel.
  • Establish manufacturing process flow and work instructions.
  • Regularly review electronic components for suitability and compliance to requirements.
  • Create and update manufacturing standard procedures.
  • Drive continuous improvement in all process areas.
  • Use ERP system (SAP) to develop process and process flow improvements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering required.
  • 1 - 3 years of electrical engineering experience.
  • Experience in the design of circuit boards in Altium.
  • Ability to layout boards in Altium is a plus.
  • Experience with MIL-STD-810G, MIL-STD-461, and MIL-STD-471 is a plus.
  • Familiarity with design of network devices (switches and routers) and servers is a plus.
  • Strong work ethic and commitment to customer support.
  • Ability to read and understand drawings and specifications.
  • Knowledge of basic electronic and mechanical assembly principles.
  • Experience with mathematical concepts and apply them to practical situations.
  • Experience with CAD software and continuous improvement.
  • Accuracy and attention to detail is a must.
  • Ability to multi-task and manage various project-related duties.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with MIL-STD-810G, MIL-STD-461, and MIL-STD-471 is a plus.
  • Familiarity with design of network devices (switches and routers) and servers is a plus.
