About the position

The Associate Electrical Engineer will lead and collaborate on various electrical engineering projects within the industrial, biotech, pharmaceutical, and food sectors. This role involves designing and overseeing complex design/build projects while working closely with the Electrical Engineering Manager. The position offers flexibility with in-office, hybrid, and remote work arrangements.

Responsibilities

• Prepare electrical system concepts and calculations for industrial, biotech, pharmaceutical, and food facilities.
• Develop single line diagrams and layouts for power distribution systems.
• Perform lighting calculations and coordinate with architects to ensure seamless integration into overall project designs.
• Design and layout miscellaneous electrical systems, including fire alarm, communication, and security systems.
• Collaborate with mechanical and process engineers to coordinate electrical requirements for HVAC, plumbing, and process equipment.
• Monitor construction progress, perform field reviews, and participate in the commissioning of electrical systems to ensure compliance with design specifications and project requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, or a related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in electrical design, with a strong emphasis on industrial and manufacturing facilities.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit is required.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, technically complex environment.
