About the position

The Associate Engagement Manager at AWS Professional Services is responsible for managing the delivery of AWS cloud products and services to help customers achieve their business objectives. The position emphasizes career development for early professionals and includes significant travel requirements, with up to 75% travel associated with the role.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with AWS technical, operation, and customer-facing teams to deliver engagement health metrics and ensure customer milestones are met.
  • Leverage formal project management methodologies to manage project delivery effectively.
  • Analyze project goals, create plans to achieve them, and drive teams and stakeholders to success.
  • Manage all phases of the project life-cycle, including governance plans, schedules, and budgets.
  • Interface with customers and internal stakeholders to communicate project status and financials.
  • Work effectively in a dynamic environment with changing priorities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Project Management, or STEM (Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, etc.).
  • 1+ years of experience assisting in project delivery.
  • 1+ years of experience managing tasks, risks, and issues of a project.
  • Understanding of agile frameworks and the software development lifecycle.
  • Knowledge of project management best practices and their application.
  • Business and financial acumen.

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's degree in Business, Project Management, or STEM.
  • Experience with cloud, software, or emerging technologies (IoT, Blockchain, AI/ML) projects.
  • Evidence of ongoing education through certifications or training.
  • AWS experience and certifications.
  • Experience managing technical projects with budgets over $100,000.
