About the position

The Associate Engineer, Data Governance at T-Mobile is responsible for building the infrastructure necessary for optimal data extraction, transformation, and loading from various sources. This role focuses on internal process improvements, including automating manual processes and optimizing data delivery, while working collaboratively in a cross-functional environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership in Data Management environments.
• Create and maintain system components of data pipeline architecture and analytical tools.
• Assemble data sets that meet business requirements.
• Build components of analytics tools to provide insights into key business metrics.
• Support stakeholder teams with data-related technical issues and infrastructure needs.
• Create data tools for analytics and data science teams.
• Collaborate with data and analytics experts to enhance data system functionality.

Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED (Required)
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Informatics, Information Systems, or a related field (Preferred)
• Less than 2 years of experience in Data Engineering (Required)
• Experience in root cause analysis on data and processes (Preferred)
• Proficiency in SQL, DAX, Python, Java, Scala, and/or Go (Preferred)
• Advanced SQL knowledge and experience with relational databases (Required)
• Ability to manage work across multiple projects (Preferred)
