About the position

We are seeking an Associate Engineer - Avionics Integration and Test Engineer who will work out of our Canoga Park, CA location. The candidate will contribute to the design and development of special test equipment for military and space Avionics products. This role involves developing technical specifications, performing electronics design, fabrication, and integration and test activities for the Avionics Integration & Test Department. Additionally, the candidate will be responsible for developing software for custom-designed Avionics test equipment products. The ideal candidate should have exposure to both analog and digital design activities, possess hands-on experience in an electronics laboratory environment, and have experience in a test software programming language such as LabVIEW, LabWindows/CVI, Visual Basic, or C++.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop test equipment hardware and software designs for testing flight level avionics controllers, sensors, power electronics, and the associated cabling under the supervision of senior engineering staff (40%).
  • Develop specifications and design documentation associated with avionics test equipment hardware and software designs (20%).
  • Support the integration and verification of avionics test equipment designs in an electronics laboratory environment (20%).
  • Support the coordination and presentation of avionics test equipment design, manufacturing, and integration activities with other internal organizations such as Program Management, Avionics Design, Manufacturing, and Quality Engineering (20%).

Requirements

  • Requires a Bachelor's degree in electrical design, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • May be required to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance at the appropriate level.
  • Must be able to satisfy federal government requirements for access to government information.

Nice-to-haves

  • Working knowledge of electronic test equipment hardware and controlling software is desired.
  • Six months to 1 year of related experience preferred but not required.
  • Experience with C programming language, LabVIEW, LabWindows, Test Stand is desirable.
