About the position
Kennedy Jenks Consultants is seeking an Associate Engineer to support the growth and delivery of industrial engineering design and construction projects as a Technical Lead. This role involves working on challenging projects across various industries, including mining, aerospace, and manufacturing, with a focus on engineering design, chemical and process calculations, and providing engineering services during construction. The position offers opportunities for professional growth in a collaborative and innovative environment.
Responsibilities
- Support the growth and delivery of industrial engineering design and construction projects as a Technical Lead.
- Conduct industrial engineering design, chemical and process calculations, and bench and pilot testing.
- Provide engineering services during the construction of projects.
- Work on projects from initial planning stages through design, construction, and startup operations.
- Travel to client and project sites for meetings and coordination activities.
Requirements
- BS or MS in Mechanical, Chemical or related engineering field.
- 5+ years of engineering experience in planning, engineering, design, construction, and commissioning.
- Prior engineering experience with industrial water, wastewater, mechanical infrastructure, system controls, process automation, or process design is preferred.
- Project development oversight and project management experience, including scope, schedule, fee preparation, negotiation, and project staffing.
- Professional Engineer license is preferred.
- Experience with computer-aided drafting (CAD) and design applications (e.g., BlueBeam) is preferred.
- Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
