As an Associate Engineer in Manufacturing (Industrial), you will be part of a team that is focused on delivering end-to-end solutions that meet customers' mission-critical needs. The role involves working across multiple value streams and employing lean methodologies to improve product flow and increase throughput. You will perform a variety of industrial engineering tasks that are planned to provide experience and familiarization with the manufacturing operations staff and company programs, methods, and practices. This position requires you to analyze engineering problems and adopt effective courses of action with the support of senior-level engineers. Your responsibilities will include performing operation analysis, variance analysis, and method improvement studies, assisting in auditing labor standards for accuracy, and preparing work flow, layout, sequence, manpower, and other related charts, graphs, and reports. You will also assist in capital expenditure analysis, justification, and forecast, as well as in plant and office space planning for efficient and effective utilization. Additionally, you will help develop LEAN implementation plans and process improvements, contributing to the overall efficiency of the manufacturing operations.

Responsibilities

  • Perform a variety of industrial engineering tasks to gain experience with manufacturing operations staff and company programs.
  • Conduct operation analysis, variance analysis, and method improvement studies.
  • Assist in auditing labor standards for accuracy.
  • Assist in the economic evaluation of suggestions and method improvement studies.
  • Prepare work flow, layout, sequence, manpower, and other related charts, graphs, and reports.
  • Assist in capital expenditure analysis, justification, and forecast.
  • Assist in plant and office space planning for efficient and effective utilization.
  • Develop LEAN implementation plans and process improvements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience.
  • Ability to obtain appropriate Security Clearance after onboarding.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license.

Nice-to-haves

  • Proficiency in Capacity Simulation Software (e.g., ProModel).
  • Experience in the development of Excel-based capacity models.
  • Proficient in the use of MS Project.
  • Knowledge of LEAN and Six Sigma production techniques.
