About the position

The Associate Engineer Technician at Insight Global will be responsible for performing analytical tasks related to the design, construction, maintenance, and operations of electrical power distribution facilities. This role involves creating designs for both internal and external clients, which includes field assessments, design identification, and utilizing designated software for design creation. The technician will also be responsible for generating work orders, job sketches, material lists, and cost estimates.

Responsibilities

• Perform analytical tasks related to design, construction, maintenance, and operations of electrical power distribution facilities.
• Create designs for internal and external clients.
• Conduct field assessments and field staking for job identification.
• Utilize designated software to create designs.
• Generate work orders, job sketches, material lists, and cost estimates.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or associate's degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Math, or Physics.
• If holding an associate's degree, 2 years of design or utility distribution experience is required.
• Previous experience with electrical distribution is necessary.
• Familiarity with ArcFM Designer and SPIDAcalc design programs.
