About the position
The Associate Environmental Services Tech is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene in assigned areas within the health system. This role involves cleaning, disinfecting, and stocking patient rooms, offices, and ancillary areas, as well as performing maintenance on floors, carpets, and upholstery. The position requires effective communication and collaboration with team members to ensure a coordinated approach to services.
Responsibilities
- Clean and disinfect assigned work areas according to department procedures.
- Remove and dispose of medical waste, trash, and linens.
- Perform interim and restorative maintenance of hard floors, carpets, and upholstery according to procedures.
- Assemble, maintain, and store necessary equipment and supplies according to department standards.
- Communicate and collaborate with team members to ensure continuity of services.
- Report maintenance and specialized cleaning requirements in the work area.
- Assist visitors and employees in navigating through the hospital.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Experience in public service or customer service in a hotel, hospital, environmental services, or janitorial experience preferred.
