About the position

Clear Street is seeking equity research associates to join our dynamic equity research team covering mid- and small-cap biotech companies. The role involves working closely with senior Analysts in the healthcare sector, where the candidate will be responsible for conducting proprietary research on companies within the biotechnology sector. This includes sector-specific research that requires a deep understanding of preclinical and clinical data, as well as the drug approval process. The associates will also be tasked with writing equity research publications and maintaining financial models to support their analyses. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in fundamental equity research, including experience in financial statement analysis and financial modeling. A Bachelor's degree is required, and an advanced medical or scientific degree is considered a plus. Candidates should be prepared to pass the necessary FINRA licensing exams if they are not already licensed. Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint is essential, along with excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively articulate investment ideas and theses. Attention to detail, self-motivation, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team are critical attributes for success in this role. Occasional travel may be required as part of the job responsibilities.

Requirements

  • Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and hard-working
  • Ability to work on a team
  • Candidates must pass FINRA SIE, Series 63, Series 86, and Series 87 exams if not already licensed
