About the position

The Associate ETL Developer at Central Pacific Bank is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining the processes for extracting data from various source systems and loading it into the enterprise data warehouse (EDW). This role requires a strong understanding of data modeling and the applications used within the bank, as well as the ability to perform data analysis, requirement gathering, and debugging of ETL codes. The developer will work independently or collaboratively on complex data initiatives, ensuring alignment with the bank's core values and customer interaction standards.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop ETL processes for data extraction and loading into the EDW.
• Analyze source system data and its criticality to enterprise information needs.
• Develop data mapping documents to capture source data formats and define transformation rules.
• Collaborate with the EDW Architect to integrate new or updated data sources into the EDW data model.
• Enhance, debug, test, and maintain ETL jobs and sequencers.
• Develop system test plans for ETL jobs and sequencers.
• Maintain comprehensive design documentation and issue tracking.
• Perform data validation during test and production phases.
• Monitor and remediate system and application performance as needed.
• Identify and remediate data quality issues as part of enterprise data governance.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 4+ years of experience in database design, development, reporting, and administration.
• 4+ years of experience in banking preferred.
• Strong data modeling knowledge and ETL technical project management skills.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with data governance and metadata management.
• Familiarity with banking applications and systems.
