About the position

As an Associate in Executive Communications at BNY Mellon, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering the communications of the CEO. This position is integral to the Marketing and Communications team, where you will collaborate closely with various stakeholders to ensure that the CEO's messaging is clear, impactful, and aligned with the company's strategic objectives. Your responsibilities will include drafting a wide range of content such as briefings, blogs, speeches, video scripts, and emails, all tailored for both internal and external audiences. You will also manage the CEO's social media profiles, ensuring that the content is engaging and reflective of the company's values and mission. In addition to content creation, you will support the organization and execution of high-profile executive positioning opportunities. This includes coordinating media appearances, conferences, speaking engagements, and award ceremonies. You will be responsible for drafting content for internal communications initiatives, such as town halls and executive fireside chats, ensuring that all messaging is consistent and effectively communicated to employees. Your role will also involve organizing and monitoring the progress of team materials, which includes taking notes, coordinating with other internal teams, and managing the internal approval and review processes. This hybrid position is based in New York City and offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the executive communications strategy of a leading global financial services company.

Responsibilities

  • Support the shaping of the CEO's communications.
  • Draft content for briefings, blogs, speeches, video scripts, emails, and messaging for the CEO.
  • Manage content and engagement on the CEO's social media profiles.
  • Organize and execute high-impact executive positioning opportunities, including media appearances and conferences.
  • Draft content for internal town halls and executive communications initiatives.
  • Coordinate and monitor progress of team materials, including note-taking and managing internal approval processes.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of Communications experience required.
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Strong writing skills, including technical writing and corporate messaging.
  • Efficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to organize and update deadlines and priorities.
