About the position

The Associate Executive Director Healthcare Administrator is responsible for executing strategic direction, operational excellence, and financial success while overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Healthcare Center, which includes Skilled Nursing, Assisted Living, and Memory Care services. This role requires a forward-thinking leader who embraces a person-centered philosophy and is passionate about improving the quality of life for residents. The position involves collaboration with the Executive Director and the Healthcare Services Team to ensure high standards of care and compliance with regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Executive Director with the day-to-day operation of the community.
  • Oversee the full life cycle of operations of the Healthcare Center, including Skilled Nursing and Assisted Living services.
  • Drive high-quality nursing and caregiving services in compliance with regulations.
  • Maintain a 5 Star CMS rating and ensure quality assurance and performance improvement.
  • Chair the Quality Assurance Performance Improvement (QAPI) Committee and develop a comprehensive program to measure resident care quality.
  • Create a positive working environment and promote cooperation among staff.
  • Manage the financial aspects of the Healthcare Center, ensuring ethical business practices and financial stability.
  • Oversee the completion of annual operational and capital budgets for the Healthcare Center.
  • Provide leadership and mentoring to the management team and staff.
  • Collaborate with residents and the management team to assess community priorities and strategic direction.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required, Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 15 years of long-term care administration experience.
  • Valid nursing home administrator license or eligibility to obtain within six months.
  • Experience with operational, regulatory, and financial aspects of healthcare services.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in computer applications and budgeting processes.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in memory care services.
  • Knowledge of state and federal regulations in healthcare.
