The Associate Executive Director at Greater Austin YMCA is a transformative leadership role focused on executing the organization's strategic imperatives. Responsibilities

  • Lead and coach team members to create a transformative Y Experience.
  • Manage center operations and ensure alignment with strategic goals and objectives.
  • Conduct quarterly check-ins with direct reports to monitor progress on objectives and key results (OKRs).
  • Oversee facility management to ensure safety and cleanliness.
  • Manage budgeting processes and identify growth opportunities.
  • Drive membership and program enrollment growth while ensuring high-quality experiences.
  • Develop and implement member engagement strategies and programs.
  • Lead fundraising efforts and ensure strong participation from staff and volunteers.
  • Build community relationships and enhance the Y's reputation through effective communication and collaboration.
  • Model design thinking and social entrepreneurship practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Five or more years of management experience, preferably in a YMCA or nonprofit agency.
  • Ability to direct operations including volunteer development and staff supervision.
  • Thorough understanding of the YMCA movement and its mission.
  • Experience in design thinking.
