KPMG is currently seeking an Associate to join our Federal Advisory practice. This role involves reviewing and evaluating financial risk, financial reporting, and accounting transaction processes, including controls related to Federal entities. The Associate will also review and evaluate Federal financial business processes and financial statements, supporting project lifecycles that include assisting with scope definition, business case development, vendor assessment, requirements gathering, functional and technical design, testing, training, and implementation phases. Building and sustaining solid relationships with client personnel is crucial, as is identifying opportunities to provide additional services. The Associate will contribute to the design, preparation, and analysis of reports and findings in a clear, logical, and concise manner.

Responsibilities

  • Review and evaluate financial risk, financial reporting, and accounting transactions processes including controls related to Federal entities.
  • Review and evaluate Federal financial business processes and financial statements.
  • Support project lifecycles including assisting with scope definition, business case development, vendor assessment, requirements gathering, functional and technical design, testing, training, and implementation phases.
  • Develop and sustain solid relationships with client personnel and identify opportunities to provide additional services.
  • Contribute to design, preparation, and analysis of reports and findings in a clear, logical, and concise manner.

Requirements

  • A minimum of one year of federal financial management / transformation experience.
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university.
  • Experience in the preparation, review, and analysis of financial statements / documents for U.S. Federal government entities.
  • Experience with FASAB, GAO, FAR, FMR, CFR, Treasury, and OMB.
  • Ability to travel as required to support firm engagements.
  • U.S. citizenship required and an active U.S. Federal government Secret security clearance.
